Picwing is Genius: Share Actual Pics of the Kids with Grandparents. (For Moms Like Me Who Write "Send Pictures" On A List Every Day And Ignore It.)

I'm really good at writing lists. I'm also really good at selecting the things on the list that sound fun, and completely ignoring the things that sound like they might potentially make more than a half second of my life not-that-much-fun.

I know, I just might be the Queen of Lazy. Can't I be proud?

One of the things I frequently write down (on paper, on my hand, in my task-managing "Things" app, on my MacJournal, do you see why my family gets frustrated with me?) is "send photos of kids to the family."

Um, the last time I visited my parents their mantle displayed this photo of my daughter. Our holiday card from TWO THOUSAND AND SEVEN!

And poor second child Taylor, born almost a year ago now, ceased to exist in the Magher Hall of Grandchildren Fame! (But I am the daughter who doesn't follow through, remember?) See attached photo I should have mailed three months ago:

Well, meet the lazy mother's friend for all things photos: Picwing.

Picwing, I love you! My parents will think I have grown up! My in-laws might remember what we look like! And best of all, I don't have to write anything down on any lists, which will be added to more lists, that we all know will be ignored until it reads: GO GET A MASSAGE OR TAKE A NAP.

Here's how Picwing works:

1. Sign up (you can try for free.)

2. Enter recipients' addresses.

3. Specify how often you want pictures sent. (Might want to think less is more or be damned Mrs. Look! Baby Taylor Grew A Half-Centimeter of a Tooth!)

3. Upload pics (or email them to your @picwing.com email address.)

THAT IS IT. (They do the rest which includes printing the photos and mailing them to your loved ones.)

Now you really do have time to get that pedicure, watch that Entourage episode, or do something else that sounds, well, more fun than going to the post office?
